So I know I haven't done a post in a long time- but my heck life gets busy sometimes!! Matt had SO much homework last week, Lucas and I probably only saw him like 2-3 hours the whole week. and when we saw him, he was usually on the computer working of homework. And when he wasn't home, I was too crazy chasing Lucas. And this week is a little better, but still, I can't wait for school to be out! Well, I promise I will post more later, but for now, this is pretty cool so I figured it would work:)
This lady is giving away a free photo sitting, and will put them on a cd for you for free. So check out her blog!

Happy ANNIVERSARY to us!
Tomorrow is our anniversary, 3 years! I cannot believe it has been three years. I feel so incredibly lucky to have Matt as my husband. Matthew and I are so happy, I can't see my life any other way. Matt and I were engaged on Nov. 9, 2005. Then we were married on Feb. 3, 2006. Emily and Jared (my sister and brother in law) were married Feb. 1, 2006, and then we had a double reception on the 3rd. It was so much fun to be able to share that with her. Happy anniversary to you guys! This is a slide show of some our engagements, bridals and wedding pictures. Our wedding was just beautiful, my mom went crazy! Since it was a double wedding I guess she decided to go all out. We really had a fairy tale wedding. Thank you Mom and Dad, and thank you Mom and Dad Andreason. We love you!
Matt, I can't believe it has been three years, it has gone by so fast. I feel so blessed that you are in my life. You are the man I have always dreamed about marrying, and the husband I have always wanted. Thank you so much for all you do for me and Lucas. Thank you for loving me, and choosing to spend forever with me. I love you!

VICTORY!
I haven't done a post in a little while, so I thought I would tell a little bit about what we have been doing. A while ago, we went on a date with some of our friends, Heidi and Weston. My niece, Kylee, babysat Lucas for us, and we went to dinner. And then we came home, put Lucas to bed, and then Heidi and Weston brought their WII over. We had so much fun, its not that often that we get to go out without Lucas, so it was fun. Matt and I boxed against each other. Let me just say this, I killed him! I don't win games against him very often, actually it is pretty rare. So, yes, I am bragging! But to be fair, we also bowled, and Matt almost got a strike every time. He beat everyone in bowling. But, I want to continue bragging about winning! I know some wouldn't believe it, so I posted a video, its a couple minutes long, and it doesn't actually show me winning, but it gets the job done. It is my proof that I won. :)
As far as Lucas goes, he is into everything, of course, like toddlers are. He can say "gapapa" (Grandpa), "Hi", "byebye", "Baby", "mom", "dad", "woof", (this one I am not sure, sometimes it sounds like it, other times it doesn't) "cracker", "Thank you" (but that's very rare), "bease" (Please; and again, its rare). Lucas can sign, more, thank you, please, he can give kisses, blow kisses, and he can give fives. One of his favorite things to do is play games with us by making noises with his mouth. He will make weird noises, and expect us to do the same, once we do, he laughs and laughs and does it again, and again, and again, and again...you get the idea. Lucas loves to dance. I turn music on while I am cleaning, and he runs to one room, and dances, then runs to another room, and does the same thing, again, and again, and again....:) Matt still doesn't know what he thinks of his little boy dancing, but I love it. Here is a video of his other favorite game that he LOVES when daddy plays it. He could spend all day playing on our bed with Dad. It wears Matt out. Ignore the unmade bed; when your little kid just pulls blankets off, it feels pretty pointless to make it. And he have to push blankets out of the way for this game.

I know it is a little late, but what a wonderful Christmas! I love Christmas, but I have to say, it is a million times more fun when you have a kid. I was so excited for Lucas to open his presents. I know he is still young, so he doesn't really get it yet, but it was fun. In the morning, we came up the stairs with the Jingle-Bell Rope. This is one of my favorite traditions from growing up. All of my siblings and I would sleep in the same room, and play games all night long. Then when we would wake up, we would sing Christmas Carols, until my parents woke up. Once they got up, they would bring the Jingle-Bell Rope, and we would line up, youngest to oldest, and hold on. We would have to close our eyes, and my mom would take us through the house on a maze, while we would continue singing (more like screaming). Then she would tell us to open our eyes, and all of our presents would be there. So, this year, I made a Jingle-Bell Rope. And I knew Lucas wouldn't get it, but I was excited. So Matt helped Lucas up the stairs and I led the rope. When we got into the room, Lucas was more interested in the Dog rather than the new toys. When he finally looked over, I got a look, but no picture, of his eyes. They were so wide! Once he got a hold of his toys, he wouldn't touch the wrapped presents, so Matt and I opened them for him. It was so fun!
By the way, I just wanted to thank everyone for your help on my last post, we appreciate the calls, emails, texts, and comments. They helped! I think he is off of the Binky now. Today he found my hidden stash of Binky's (the ones that he wouldn't take before and one of the ones that he loved). I watched him ready to grab it at anytime, and he put each one in his mouth and then he took it out, threw it, and would pick up another one. Once he had tried all of them, he moved on to the next toy! It was a very exciting moment for me! He still cries sometimes, but I think it is the fact that he doesn't want to go to sleep, he just wants to play, not that he wants the Binky. So, Lucas is officially off of the Binky!! Thank you everyone!

Advice Please

Lucas is very attached to his Binky. I only let him use it for naps and bed-time, but he does tend to find it sometimes. Well, he refuses to take any other kind besides the new born kind (in the picture above). I want to get him off of it. I think he is getting too old, and especially too old for that particular kind. I tried cutting par of the nipple off, and he still keeps crying. he is not really old enough to understand that it is "broken". We have 2 Binky's, so I cut the one, and then I hid the second one. It has been 2 days without it, and it has been horrible. He just cries and cries. When I put him down for naps and bed, it is at least 45 minutes to one hour one crying. And I know some of you deal with that all the time, and I feel for you. But I am not used to that. On a normal day, Lucas falls asleep (with the held of his Binky) in about 5-10 minutes. Lucas has now started a new scream, and he does that the whole time, it sounds so incredible painful. His throat has got to be hurting him. And it is hard on Matt and I, we feel like awful parents. But I don't want my kid being that 4 year old in the store with a Binky. And I have heard, the longer you let them use it, the harder it is to break the habit. I also feel really bad for our neighbors, I am sure they can hear him. Last night: The first 4 hours of 'sleep' he woke up about 3-4 times. After about 11:00 he stopped and slept the rest of the night. But I know my upstairs neighbors have little kids, and I am sure they are in bed. Anyway, I need help. Does anyone have any advice as to how to get Lucas off the Binky? And how to help him adjust so he doesn't have to cry himself to sleep every time? Thank you everyone!

Matthew!
I know, 4 posts in one day, WOW! But I just had to do one more! Matt is preparing for his last week of school for the semester, and we are looking forward to it! Lucas and I have missed Matt these past few weeks, and are so excited for a few weeks of no school and no homework! YAY! Just to update everyone, Matt will most likely be graduating in the Spring (he has to take a huge semester, if he were to take his normal amount of credits, he would be 1 credit short of graduating. So, next semester he is taking an extra class on top of his normal, and he will still be working, and doing his internship. What a busy man! If it is too much, then he will walk in the spring, and then take one more class in the summer. But, who wants to do that?) Anyway, I just wanted to publicly tell Matt how much we appreciate what he does for us. He works so hard for our family, and we love him for it. Congratulations on a great semester Matt! I am proud of the student you work so hard to be, and the man that you are! :) We love you! I am so sorry, I know you hate this type of stuff, but that's just too bad! :)

FIRST snow
It has finally snowed and Lucas is old enough to go out and play in it. I hate the snow, and am usually not happy at all about any snow. But I have been really excited for Lucas to experience snow. So I took him outside. I was freezing, and Lucas was freezing. (I know I know, we are bad parents, he doesn't have a coat yet. But I just bought him one, and its on the way..) Lucas was wearing 3 jackets, and a hat and gloves, still I don't think it was enough. His poor body was ice cold afterwards. Anyway...the picture above is Luke's first impression of the snow. We would walk around outside, and he would bend over to touch it, then get too scared, and start walking again. After several minutes of this, I pushed his hand in the snow, and that's the look I got afterwards. That look could kill. Finally he decided to walk in the snow, and led us right to the swing. Only my kid would want to swing when its that cold outside. Well my kid and my niece that you can see in the back. Crazy kids.
