In lieu of Bruce and Heather's last blog (Matt's brother and wife), we decided to ask the question: "Who does Matt look most like?" Matt has always been told he looks like Matt Damon, but here are some others that he has been told he compares to. Who do you think he looks most like?

Every house where love abides And friendship is a guest,Is surely home, and home sweet home For there the heart can rest.~Henry Van DykeI don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich. ~Dan Wilcox and Thad Mumford, "Identity Crisis," M*A*S*H
These last couple of days I have been thinking of how blessed we are. I feel so lucky to be sealed to Matthew for all of eternity. I don't know why God has blessed me with such an amazing man - but I am so thankful! I love Matthew with all of my heart. I also feel so honored to be given our son, Lucas, to raise and to teach and to love. I love Lucas so very much. I just wanted to let everyone know how happy I am and how thankful I am to our Father in Heaven.

~Husband Tag~
Well awhile ago, I was tagged, and I am finally getting to it. It is a fun one, my husband! Here it goes:
1. Where did you meet? We both worked at Macey's while I was in high school and Matt was just returned from his mission.
2. How long did you date before you were married? Its a weird story, on and off for about 10 months. Then we dated 7 months before we were married.
3. How long have you been married? 2 years and 9 months
4. What does he do that surprises you? A couple of things: I knew he liked sports before I married him, but I had no idea that when I got married, I was marrying sports too. Matt is also very good at figuring people out, especially me. He knows what I am going to say before I say it. It surprises me how well he knows me.
5. What is your favorite feature of his? I love his smile - it gets me every time. I also love his big brown eyes, so sweet! 6.What is your favorite quality of his? Matt has the ability to carry a conversation with any type of person. Anyone who talks to him knows that he cares for them, and that he is genuinely interested in them.
7. Does he have a nickname for you? When we dated he called me "stinker" now it has become a little more endearing with "Hun".
8. What is his favorite color? Green - "the color of trees"
10. What is his favorite sport? basketball mostly. But, he gets excited for whatever sport season it is.
11. When and Where was your first kiss? In my car outside his house. Then I broke up with him. So our 'real' first kiss was at a park shortly after I graduated from high school.
12. We used to go to parks and watch the stars, now that's too hard with a baby. So, we like to eat ice cream in our pj's and watch a movie (or a game).
14. Does he have a hidden talent? He is pretty good at the guitar and a pretty good voice - if only he would let people hear it. And he is amazing with little kids. All of my nieces just love him to death. I call that a talent.
15. How old is he? 24
16. Who said I love you first? Matt did. He kind of had to explain what kind of love it was though. He was pretty nervous. So was I.
18. What do you admire most about him? I don't think I could fit it all on here. I love his testimony of the church, whenever I have a question or thought, he is so willing to help me understand. I have been so impressed with what a wonderful daddy he has been. Everyday when he gets home, before he even says hi to me, he will pick Luke up and play with him. He loves his son. And I admire the man he is. He understands his calling as a father, and a husband, and he is so willing to do whatever it takes to make us happy.
19. Do you think he will read this? Normally no, but he has been trying to read over my shoulder. Matt hates these things, so if I let him read it, he wouldn't let me post it. Since I have been so "secretive" he will read it.
*I tag Cyndi, Brooke, Deborah, and Heather.

Our Little Man
Today I was watching my baby boy play, and I got teary eyed. Nothing makes me happier than to hear my baby laugh, or see him playing, and learning and growing. But today it hit me, that I do not have a baby anymore. My baby has turned into a little man. These pictures were taken of him crawling on diapers, wipes, and his car seat. He just recently learned to climb up things, and it is so fun to watch, but there are a ton of bruises everyday!
If you look close, you can see a difference with his hair. I know it is hard since his hair is so blond, but, he did get his first hair cut the other day. He did so well, no crying! He was very wiggly, but that's no different than any other day.
I was looking at the pictures on the camera, and Lucas just kept laughing at me or the camera. He was laughing so hard, but, of course, as soon as I start to record it, he slows down the laughing.
Lucas can now wave 'bu-bye', give kisses, and point. He is walking with everything, he will take a wagon or his "toy table" and walk all over the place. He has learned to say "mama" and "dada", though he is definitely going through a "dada" phase. Everything is "dada"- dad, mom, food, outside, everything. It is so fun to watch him learn and grow.
