Finally updated! :)
So, here is a slide show of some of the things we have been up to. Well...really, it is what Lucas has been up to. Lucas is a wild man, he definitely has a mind of his own, and sometimes it drives me nuts! If anyone has good suggestions of books about disciplining toddlers, please let me know. Right now we are doing time-out, but hes not getting it. He just gets right up and starts playing, and when I put him back down, he hits me. I don't know if he is meaning to hit; when he cries he waves his arms around, but it usually hits us. Anyway... I am up for suggestions since I have no idea what I am doing. Now for my explanations for the pictures:
Potty training. Wow. I never thought I would be trying to potty train a 15 month old. But I read this book about early potty training, it was really neat. And so I started training Lucas. He has gone in the potty about 10+ times. But now it is getting very hard. In the mornings I babysit 1-3 extra kids (depending on the day). Lucas has a hard time just sitting there while the other kids run around. So...I have decided to put off training for another 2-3 months. At that point, I won't be babysitting as much. And then maybe it will be easier for Lucas to sit still. I don't want to force him to sit on the potty, the book said that if you make them, it won't be a happy experience for them, and they won't want to do it again. So, hopefully soon we will get it going. I really want him to be potty trained.
Stickers on the face. I went to a doctors appt. (no I am not pregnant) and I left Lucas with a friend and her two kids. When I got back, this is what I found, stickers covering his face. I guess that's what happens when you leave your kid with a 3 year old and 18 month old. The funny part, the kids weren't the ones who did it, it was my friend. :)
Lucas discovered how to rip paper, what fun for Mommy. One day I was ironing and Lucas found a paper towel and ripped it into a million pieces. Next thing I know, Lucas is putting the scraps on one of the bar stools and dragging them around the house. It was like he was giving it a ride. The best part was that he was just laughing the whole time, he thought he was so funny!
The other pictures are pretty self explanatory, Lucas chillin' out watching Baby Einstein, asking for muffins, feeding Daddy, eating lunch off the floor, and playing in his baby swing that he found. This kid is so funny. Like I said totally wild, it is such a work out to keep up with him. But I love it! He is so much fun!!
I hope that everyone is happy now that I have updated the blog. Oh also, forgive me for my music choices this time. But, I am going through kind of a weird phase with music, Matt keeps teasing me about it. :)

I don't know if this will work for you or not, but we could never get Andrew to stay in time-out either. So...our friend told us to try buckling him in his booster seat and sticking him in a corner. That way he can't get out but distinguishes it from meal time. Andrew didn't have a booster seat so we used Joel's belt and buckled him to a chair. Sounds cruel, but it mostly worked. Good luck. Mostly, kids just sort of go through that stage and you have to be firm and especially consistant. They'll take every inch you give them.
Wow, you guys have been busy! So much to look forward to...
Oh and Becky, don't worry about the belt thing. I've seen worse things done with a belt!
Brooke, I don't really have any suggestions for the discipline thing, we were only allowed to "redirect" when I worked at the daycare, but that doesn't really do anything! Also, I wanted to say don't listen to Matt! I love your music choices! Seriously, I think I like every song! Ha ha. I think I will be on your blog a lot because of this. Anyway, good luck with Luke! He is wild, but adorable!
Lucas is so cute, but I know what you mean about your son driving you crazy! Sometimes Miles drives me nuts too. I think you're a great mom, keep it up! And I like your music too, especially "Say" by One Republic, I have that on my blog too!
