So I need ideas. The last 3 days Lucas has skipped his nap. And that's a problem in of itself, but I think he is skipping them because he isn't getting all of his energy out. Usually we play outside every morning and every afternoon. I like to wear him out so he will nap. But with the cold weather, we have been inside. I have been trying to do activities but he doesn't have a long attention span. So I am wondering if anyone has some ideas of games and activities for a 2 year old? I need things we can do inside, and I need things that are cheap, but fun for a 2 year old. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it! :)

Yikes, that's a dilemma Brooke! I would say play hide-and-seek if he gets that yet. Or...take him to McDonald's and let him play in their indoor play place :) When I worked at the daycare, I would have the kids pretend to be different animals. So, for example, they could run around the room flapping their arms for a bird, or get on their hands and knees and bark for a dog (you of course have to do it with him). Ha ha, that sounds a little weird, but they loved it! They also loved painting if you dare trying finger paints. Anyway, that's a tough one, I wish you luck!

I hate to tell you Brooke, but sometimes kids ween from their naps this early. No matter what you do, they just won't take a nap. On the plus side, you can put him down to sleep at 7:00 pm and enjoy the night.
ya... I have had the same proplem! It is so fraustrating cause they are so onry those last few hours and you are trying to get them some dinner before they nod off! I have tried dancing! That is fun! Joey likes doing the Head shoulders knees toes, I have a good version of it if you want it!But, for the most part... I am pretty much in the same boat as you!
